The movie is called "Short Eyes" (1977). www.imdb.com/title/tt0076706/It's about a tough Manhattan prison (the tombs) where a Muslim named El Raheem (played by Don Blakely) schools the brothers behind bars about being self-aware. Most of the dialogue on the W album is spoken by El Raheem to further emphasize the point of the tracks, like in Gravel Pit's intermission to Jah World. El Raheem talks about brothers getting they nuts together, for 'whitey's time is almost over'. And with another brotha running for president in '08, who's to say that El Raheem is wrong? Can anyone tell me what movie the monologue at the end of Gravel Pit is from...the one that goes: "Yakoo!
