After a very public fallout over a Jadakiss interview ended up costing him his spot as G-Unit's Shady's official DJ, Green Lantern has been keeping a pretty low profile. He quietly signed to the Russell Simmons Music Group and hasn't made much noise on the mixtape scene since his collaboration with Fort Minor on last year's We Major mixtape. This month The Evil Genius joins forces with Ghostface for a special mixtape that is sure to generate buzz around his own name, as well as for the Fishscale album it's meant to create hype for.
The mixtape, called Internet Invasion, is a web only release and can only be downloaded in mp3 form, so don't bother asking your local bootlegger for it. Even though it only weighs in at around 20 minutes, it's a solid collection of Ghost joints that you've probably heard already such as Kilos, and Back Like That featuring Ne-Yo, as well as some exclusive verses from Fishscale that were given the Green Lantern remix treatment. I think this internet only release method is a good look for D.J.'s seeing as most mixtapes end up being traded across message boards and blogs anyway, although all the mixtape sites that have popped up over the last couple of years probably won't be feeling it.
Download the entire Internet Invasion mixtape below, and be sure to listen closely to track #7 and you'll here Ghost giving a shoutout to SOHH. Green Lantern and Ghostface - Internet Invasion Also, make sure you check out Green's new full length mixtape, Alive On Arrival, it is straight fire. Head over to his Myspace page and hear some samples. download here rapidshare.de/files/14145014/DJ_Green_Lantern_And_Ghostface-Internet_Invasion-_Bootleg_-2006-C4.zip.html
